The Tata Group has maintained its position as India’s most valuable brand in 2026, according to the latest India 100 2026 report by Brand Finance. Infosys and LIC Group followed, securing the second and third spots, respectively, underscoring the strong performance of Indian corporations in a dynamic business environment.
The report indicates that Tata Group’s brand value rose by 7% year-on-year to reach $33.6 billion. Infosys held its ground as the second most valuable brand with a value of $16.4 billion, while LIC Group saw a 12% increase, bringing its value to $15.3 billion. The combined brand value of India’s top 100 brands now stands at $252.8 billion, a 7% increase from the previous year. This growth is largely attributed to strategic investments in digital transformation, infrastructure, manufacturing, financial services, and technology.

Top Performers and Growth Drivers
Nine out of the top 10 brands recorded year-on-year growth, demonstrating resilience and strategic expansion. HDFC Group ranked fourth despite a slight 2% decline in brand value to $13.9 billion. Reliance Group secured the fifth position with an 11% increase, reaching $10.8 billion. Other prominent names in the top 10 include SBI Group, HCLTech, Larsen & Toubro Group, and Airtel.
A notable entry into the top 10 was the Adani Group, which climbed to eighth place with a substantial 31% increase in brand value to $8.5 billion. This growth reflects the group’s significant expansion across diverse sectors such as infrastructure, energy, logistics, airports, and renewable energy.
Fastest Growing and Strongest Brands
Among the fastest-growing brands, Suzlon Energy stood out with its brand value more than doubling, a 114% increase year-on-year, to $418 million. This highlights the increasing importance of the renewable energy sector in India’s economic landscape.
In terms of brand strength, Taj Hotels maintained its lead for the fifth consecutive year, earning a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 93.5 out of 100 and an elite AAA+ rating. Zomato followed as the second strongest brand with a BSI score of 93.2, closely trailed by Amul with a score of 93.
Sector-Specific Highlights
The report also provided insights into sector-specific performances. TCS remained the most valuable IT services brand in India, valued at $21.2 billion. Adani Power emerged as the country’s most valuable energy brand, experiencing a remarkable 152% rise in brand value to $1.8 billion. Yes Bank was recognized as the fastest-growing banking brand, with a 79% increase to $458 million. JSW Group was identified as the fastest-growing conglomerate brand, while MRF continued its dominance in the tyre sector.
